Create a mood board for your wedding with these easy tools
The funnest part of working with a new wedding stationery couple is getting all their inspiration, ideas and color themes. I use this information to start designing the perfect stationery. This is also how I get to know the couple and understand what they value, their personalities, their vibe and what really matters to them when it comes to the wedding and to them as a couple.
One way to organize all this inspiration into a cohesive package is to use a mood board. Mood boards don’t have a specific layout and don’t have to be overly complicated or detailed. The goal of your mood board is to be a snapshot of the important elements of the overall aesthetic of the wedding event such as decor, color palette, flowers or greenery, setting or venue. If you want to start using a mood board but aren’t sure what to include or how to format it, you can actually buy mood board templates on Creative Market, and sometimes they have freebies too! This will become an important element when you start reaching out to vendors such as your florist or stationery designer. They will use your mood board to help guide their design process. Check out a few that I thought would work well for wedding decor. Find a constantly updated list of Creative Markets freebies on my website.

I love Creative Market and I buy a lot of fonts, mockups and templates from other designers on Creative Market. It makes me feel good to support them and honestly, it helps me run my business more efficiently. Because of this I make a percentage of sales made through my referrals as a Creative Market affiliate.
